I’m Abigail Moody, the artist behind Moody Muse Creations. For a long time, I thought I needed to stick to just one style, one medium, or one surface. But the truth is, I was never meant to create the same type of art day in and day out. My creativity comes alive when I follow the ever-changing muse I was born with—so now, instead of resisting it, I embrace it. Each piece I share is a reflection of that shifting, moody inspiration.

 

I work across layered traditional paintings, digital collages, and mixed-media illustrations that blend the digital with the tangible. My work is largely inspired by two things:

1. Humans in their daily lives

I love capturing the simple, fleeting moments we often overlook. A quiet embrace, the ritual of sipping coffee, the clutter of a well-used desk—these “ordinary” experiences are what truly make up our human story. Through my art, I aim to highlight the beauty in the messy, tender, and everyday pieces of life.

 

 2. Nature

 

With a background in biology and years of experience in science education, I’ve always been fascinated by the living world. Painting and illustrating flora and fauna allows me to celebrate Earth’s incredible organisms while deepening my own appreciation of them. My hope is that others find that same sense of wonder and connection through my work.

 

At its heart, my art is an exploration of self, of the human experience, and of the natural world. It’s my way of honoring curiosity, beauty, and the things that make us pause and feel alive.
